ArtSync Road Trip 3/07/09 - 3/10/09
What an exciting few days! We traveled to Raleigh to spread the word
about this awesome art magazine! Everyone seems as excited as we are!
First stop, Krispy Kreme! We thought it fitting since our cover contest winner, Bruce Mitchell
painted this NC icon. On our way into Raleigh's favorite doughnut shop, we met an area Girl Scot troop. We gave each of the girls a copy, and directed them to the ArtSeeds segment. The girls posed with Bruce in front of the famous Krispy Kreme sign. It just so happens I stood on the same
tree stump as Bruce when photographing our subjects. Compare the the photo I took below to
Bruce's painting. You'll see its a close copy. A few moments later, Bruce autographed all the magazines for the girls.

The photo I took.
Bruce bought me a cup of coffee and THE original
Krispy Kreme doughnut while we waited to chat with the staff.
Thanks Bruce!

The Krispy Kreme staff was wonderful! They agreed to pose for the
camera, doughnut batter and all! The Raleigh Krispy Kreme is officially
my favorite! The staff is the BEST!
Later the same day, Michelle Fernandez, our Advertising Director,
and I hit the streets in the City Market community, downtown Raleigh.

WOW! It was a race from Raleigh to get to our sound bite with WECT, a Wilmington news station. We were on the air three times in one day! Genevieve Barker, reporter for WECT, made Betsy Palmer and I feel at ease while taping our interview. Thanks Genevieve!
After our exciting sound bite with Genevieve, we fled to Deborah Cavenaugh's Art Studio located on 5028 Wrightsville Ave in Wilmington. Her shop is one of the most colorful places I've ever been! Her studio is open to the public, and we encourage you to stop by this inviting escape from everyday life!
